U.S. Considering New Sanctions on Russia Amid Ongoing Ukraine War

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that his administration is considering imposing additional sanctions on Russia in response to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, President Trump stated that he is reviewing a Senate bill that proposes stricter measures against Moscow. The proposed legislation includes heavy tariffs on countries importing energy from Russia and sanctions on foreign companies that support Russian energy production.

The President also disclosed that the U.S. Department of Defense has approved the resumption of defensive arms shipments to Ukraine, which had been temporarily halted pending a strategic review.

The potential sanctions aim to intensify pressure on the Kremlin and further isolate it on the global stage amid continued aggression in Ukraine.
