
Manoj Banaita, Siraha, September 7 : Province no 2 Minister for Agriculture, Shailendra Sah, has announced that the organic agricultural technology is essential for the development of the agricultural sector in Madhesh.
During a visit to Siraha, Minister Sah said, “The province’s dependence is based on agriculture and stressed there is no alternatives to organic farming for maximum production in less time. He stressed to bring new technological equipments for farming.
According to him, there are various growing concerns over agricultural sustainability, including forecasted water shortages in near future. In order to address this issue, a digital farming technology should be brought in practice . Experienced farmers are able to use water and fertilizers more efficiently, thanks to their extensive experiences and knowledge. By analyzing data from farming practices and the surrounding environment, these technology enable even inexperienced growers to implement such intangible techniques. It can improve agricultural productivity even in areas with limited access to water. The technology is expected to bring a huge change to the future of sustainable agriculture.
He, further, said “Water, fertilizer, experience and knowledge are essential to agriculture. But agriculture that relies on large amounts of water and fertilizer faces sustainability issues.”
