The 64-year-old woman, a resident of Bidur Municipality-10, Nuwakot, was found alive in the debris of a house in Bettrawati Bazaar. She was rescued by a team led by Police Inspector Suman Bik and was airlifted via helicopter for medical care.
Meanwhile, the Chinese national was recovered from the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower tunnel, which was being constructed by a Chinese contractor. The Nepali Army confirmed his rescue, with the survivor identified as Luhaitao.
Both rescues occurred on the 11th day after catastrophic floods struck the region, demonstrating extraordinary survival against all odds. Prior to these, two other survivors were rescued from Trishuli 3A just a day earlier.
The survivors are receiving treatment at Nepali Army hospitals, with the elderly woman transferred to Kathmandu for specialized care.
