Rekha Ray, Jaleshwar, Mahottary. 13 may 2019. This is not my sentence.It is of those girls who are studying in government school in class 10 at Mahottari district in the province no 2. They are studying but not sure about their future.Their performance reveals that most families do not offer the necessary conditions at home for girls to do well at school. For instance, girls don’t get enough time to study at home because they spent hours on household chores (more than 5hrs a day in some cases ). The amount of support and attention that girls receive inside and outside the classroom from their teachers is minimal compare to boys. It is a fact that the most teacher in rural area takes girls student as incompetent, lazy and less intelligent than boys. Interestingly, even the girls themselves do not have much faith in their ability to to learn and succeed. In rural areas, there are cultural and social barrier to girls being effective and successful in their learning role in the classroom, since their family and community expect them to be shy and quiet.
We believe that the education has the power to change lives and break the cycles of poverty. If we educate a girl, she will change herself, educate her family, gain self -sufficiency and create positive impact in her community.
In my opinion, women are the base of civilization. If they are illiterate, thinking about a well -civilized society is unimaginable.
Some helpful points to solve the problems:-
a) early marriage should be avoided,
b) skill -based education should be increased,
c) parents should treat their kids with same amount of love and respect,
d) children should have a well-balanced diet,
e) free medical camp should be organized in every school,
F) government should implement rules and regulations which will assure that every girl will get job placement to be independent,
g) more female teacher will help to create a familial environment for girls to get out of their comfort zone,
h) hostel should be opened in every municipality for higher education of girls,
I) government and political leaders should be supportive enough to make the above points possible.
j) we should create lovely and enjoyable environment in school,
After this, above mentioned points are going to make them active and positive about their education and future.
