Kathmandu – The Nepal Journalists Association has warned the Government saying that they will call international media mission if the freedom on press will be band .
Rasmesh Bista general secretary of the Federation said that international media mission may be called if change will not be made in the Bill registered in parliament regarding the issue related with press freedom of expression.
He said that there will be clear freedom in Nepal after the law came as it is registered in parliament.. He also said that there will be agitation from tomorrow against the government’s steps.
He remarked that the government has sought to bring the impatience to the cover of democracy. According to the law in the bill, the media council’s appointment did not protect the autonomy of the media council, he said that the process of council formation is very suspicious.
On the occasion President of the Press Union Badri Sigdel said that once again time has come to protect the press freedom . he urged journalist to enter the street struggles.
