Kathmandu, May 11. Sri Lunkaran Das-Gangdevi Chaudhary Sahityakala Mandir is a familiar name in the field of language, literature art and song-music in Nepal . This institution is active since 25 years for the upliftment of Nepalese language, literature, history, music and art, has celebrated its Silver Festival (25th Salgirah) in a grand form on 10th may 2019. On this occasion 8 special scholars of Nepali literature, art, history and music were also honored.
The Chief guest and cultural personality Satyamohan Joshi has honored – senior narrator Mrs Padmavati Singh. Other personalities who have made significant contribution in Nepali art literature were also honored on the occasion . Mrs. Singh has been honored with the Gangadevi Chaudhari Smriti Samman.
Similarly, Itihas Shiromani Baburam Acharya was honored by Sodh samman the literary researcher Modnath Prashritt by Saraswati gadya Samman, similarly senior literary journalist Achuthanaraman adhikar has been honoured byNarayanGopal sangeet samman . Ganesh Rasik from Arniko lalitkala samman. Kiran Manandhar was honoured by Balkrishna Sam rang samman. Actress Bhuvan Thapa Chand was honored by Nepal Nav Pratibha Samam. Srishti Kc has been honored. All the mentioned (seven) awards are distributed every year to person contributing in Nepali art literature,. According to the institution Rs. One lakh is for Gangdevi Chaudhari Smriti smman, and Rs 51 thousand has been kept for all outstanding honors.
While expressing the welcome message in the program Basant Kumar Chaudhary The President of the Institution briefly discussed the contributions of LunankaranDas-Gangdevi Chaudhary SahityKala Mandir of last 25 years. He believes that this is also time for review and evaluation for a period of 25 years. President Chaudhary also said that in the past several commitments were expressed by the institution, many of them have successfully completed. He further said, “Now, in the coming days, Rest of the work will be completed and the new work will also to be carried forward. President Chaudhary believes that there are many forms and modes of literature and art, which connects people together and its depth is unlimited. He said that on behalf of the institution, every year old people are being respected and new initiatives are being encouraged. On the occasion treasure of the organization Megha Chaudhary was making the stage pleasant by her presence .
Speaking on behalf of the reputable scholars the poet Dinesh Adhikari said that Gopal Prasad remal kavy Smman which he received is the Award of all writers of his generation. “Gopal Prasad Rimal kavy Smman was awarded for the first time to him.
Similarly, chief guest and culturalist Satyamohan Joshi said that in the last 25 years the Lunkaran Das-Gangdevi SahityKala Mandir has made significant contributions for social conversion and nation building. He believes that encouraging and rewarding artist and literature seekers working for social conversion is also a nation-service, virtuous work. He said that whatever work is being done by the institutions it is inspirational for the future generation.
The Vice President of the organization and Actor Harihar Sharma said that the LunankaranDas-Gangadevi SahityKala Mandir is the only institution established by the private sector, which is not comparable to any other institution. He believes that for the positive change in the field of Nepali literature, art and culture, whatever contributed by institution from the last two and a half decades, no any any other institution has done .
On the occasion a Silver Year Souvenir has been published. Rajkumar Adhikary, Krishnasprasad Dikshit and Rajkumar Gautam who contributed immensely to the institution were honored with long-service honors. Not only that the chief guest of the program Satyamohan Joshi was honored Ma saraswati Pratima on the occasion for his centenary (100 years) . It is worth mentioning that Vaishak 30 is the birth day of Joshi, he will complete 99 years and and will enter 100 years.
The program was successfully managed by the member of the institution and literate Rajendra Salaabh as a master of ceremony. Mr.Raman Ghimire was the key person behind the program.
