Born on 21 May 1986 in Hetauda, Nepal, Ravindra Raj Subedi’s life journey is an inspiring story of transformation from business ambitions to spiritual discipline and selfless service.
After receiving his initial education in Hotel Management from Hetauda School of Management, he pursued higher studies in Singapore and gained professional experience working at Hard Rock Cafe. Upon returning to Nepal, he ventured into business, establishing a restaurant in Sauraha, Chitwan, and a motorcycle showroom in Hetauda. His father served as an accounts officer at Hetauda Cement, while his mother has been actively associated with social service.
A significant turning point in Ravindra’s life came when he came into contact with Agnihotri Guru Sitaram Khanal. Initially, he visited the ashram seeking guidance about his future and business prospects. Gradually, however, this association became a pathway to spiritual learning, introspection and a disciplined way of life.
Under the guidance of Guru Sitaram Khanal, Ravindra resolved to stay away from intoxicants and worldly distractions. By spending nearly two years with Guru Ji in Kathmandu, he gained firsthand insight into the daily practices of spiritual life and the importance of selfless service.
Today, Ravindra begins his day at around 4 a.m., devoting time to self-study and the chanting of the Omkar mantra. He also actively assists in the management, coordination and various activities of the ashram.
Ravindra Raj Subedi’s journey conveys a profound message: true transformation comes not merely through thoughts, but through regular spiritual practice, self-discipline, the guidance of a Guru and a spirit of service. His story inspires us to look beyond material achievements and discover the deeper meaning and purpose of life.
