Similarly, Dr. Sharma, proposed for China, emphasized prioritizing the expansion of road networks and regularizing trade points.
Three Nominees Kept on Hold
While 10 names were cleared, the committee has put the approval of three other nominees on hold to conduct further investigations into complaints filed against them.
The three nominees whose endorsements have been postponed are:
-
Jigyan Kumar Thapa (Japan) – Facing complaints regarding foreign permanent residency (PR).
-
Chudamani Kharel (Malaysia) – Facing complaints regarding alleged financial indiscipline and illicit ties with manpower agencies.
-

The committee is expected to form a sub-committee or request additional documentation from relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the claims against these three individuals before making a final decision.
Following the parliamentary committee’s endorsement, the 10 approved ambassadors will now be officially appointed by the President of Nepal once they receive the agrément (official consent) from their respective host nations.
