Manoj Banata, Siraha: Jur Sital has been celebrated by spreading water in Madhesh. On this very day, people of Madhesh take blessings from their seniors. Parents offer water to their children and wish for their long life and prosperity. Community people invite their relatives and neighbours for lunch. Different variety of food items like: Dal, Bhat, Sohijan(Munga) tarkari, Taruwa, Bhujiya, Bari, Jhori, Papad, achar, Adauri, Fulauri etc. are offered to the guests.

Senior Leader of RAJAPA Nepal, Manish Suman says, “Jur Sital has not only religious significance it also has scientific connection but this great festival is limited to specific region.”
He further says that people offer water to the trees and plants on this occasion to make the tree green and fresh to produce oxygen. This definitely helps to reduce the Global warming and climate change issues, which are the biggest threat to this planet.
Mr. Suman strongly demands to the central government to take this festival into the consideration and spread the awareness regarding this to save the environment.
