‘Hindi Promotion Honor 2025’ Presented to 44 Students by Himalini Magazine in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, July 6, 2025 — In a grand celebration organized in Kathmandu, Himalini, the monthly Hindi magazine published by Dr. Krishnachandra Mishra Publication Pvt. Ltd., honored outstanding students with the ‘Hindi Promotion Honor 2025’ in hindi हिंदी सम्वर्धन सम82025. The event took place at the Prateek Hall of DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School.

The chief guest for the event was Mr. Vashishtha Nandan, First Secretary (PIC Wing), Embassy of India in Kathmandu. The special guest was Mr. Anil Kedia, Chairman of DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School. The program was presided over by Er. Sachchidanand Mishra, Managing Director of Himalini.

First-Ever Recognition of Hindi Excellence in Nepal

In a historic initiative, 44 students from leading schools in Kathmandu—including DAV School, Modern Indian School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rai School, and The Chandbagh School—were honored for achieving more than 90% marks in Hindi in their Grade 10 and 12 board examinations. This marks the first-ever formal recognition of academic excellence in Hindi in Nepal.

These meritorious students received the ‘Himalini Hindi Promotion Honor 2025’. Along with the students, their Hindi teachers were also recognized for their dedication and contribution to the language:

Special Contribution from the Indian Embassy

As a gesture of encouragement, each honored student was also presented with a bilingual English-Hindi dictionary by the Embassy of India. This thoughtful gift aims to further support their linguistic development and deepen their engagement with the Hindi language.

Dignitaries Emphasize the Importance of Hindi

Special Guest Mr. Anil Kedia addressed the students, saying:

“Without education in Hindi, we remain incomplete. It is the language that connects us to our culture and heritage.”

Chief Guest Mr. Vashishtha Nandan praised the awardees, stating:

“Hindi is a rich and vibrant language that plays a significant role in shaping one’s personality.”

Also present were Ms. Vibha Lal, Academic Coordinator of Modern Indian School; Mr. A. Gerald, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya; and Dr. Dhanesh Dwivedi from the Indian Embassy, whose presence further dignified the event.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of parents and guardians, whose presence made the event even more meaningful.
