KATHMANDU, 20 sept: Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah is set to depart for the United States on Tuesday, leading a high-level Nepali delegation to participate in the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
PM Shah is scheduled to address the high-level session of the General Assembly on September 24.
The Nepali delegation, which consists of 14 members in total, includes Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, the Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor Kumar Byanjankar, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, and other senior government officials.
Meanwhile, an advance team led by Foreign Minister Khanal has already departed for New York on Sunday evening. Minister Khanal will participate in various high-level meetings, side events, and ministerial-level programs under the UNGA high-level session.
