Recognizing the efforts of students and teachers in promoting the Hindi language, Himalini organized the highly anticipated ‘Himalini Hindi Samvardhan Samman 2026’ at the DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School.
**KATHMANDU:** In a bid to promote and preserve the Hindi language, Dr. Krishnachandra Mishra Publication Pvt. Ltd., the publisher of Himalini magazine, hosted a grand felicitation ceremony, the ‘Himalini Hindi Samvardhan Samman 2026’. The event took place at the Pratik Auditorium of DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School in Kathmandu on 26th July 2026.
The ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including Geetanjali Brandon, Counselor (Political) at the Indian Embassy, who attended as the Chief Guest. In her address, she highly praised the initiatives undertaken by Himalini. “The efforts made by Himalini magazine for the promotion of the Hindi language are commendable. It not only increases children’s attachment to the language but also inspires others. Such initiatives accelerate the dynamism of the language,” she stated.
The event was presided over by Er. Sachchidanand Mishra, Director of Himalini, who expressed immense pride in the ongoing tradition. “This is a very proud moment for the Himalini family to present these awards to deserving students,” he remarked. For several years, Himalini has been honoring outstanding students studying Hindi in various schools across Kathmandu with the ‘Himalini Hindi Samvardhan Samman’ and recognizing exceptional educators with the ‘Bhasha Gaurav Shikshak Samman’.

Dr. Shweta Dipti, Head of the Central Department of Hindi at Tribhuvan University and Editor of Himalini Hindi Monthly, delivered the welcome address. She highlighted the significance of the awards in encouraging young minds and thanked the attendees for making the event a resounding success. Senior litterateur Dr. Ram Dayal Rakesh was also present and joined the other dignitaries in felicitating the awardees.

**Book Release:**
The book *“Neer Bhari Tapt Nadi”* authored by Dr. Shweta Deepti (Head of the Central Department of Hindi at Tribhuvan University and Editor of Himalini) was grandly launched along with the ‘Himalini Hindi Samvardhan Samman’ event.
Reviewer Anup Chaudhary: He stated that the book’s title is a profound paradox where ‘Neer’ (water) symbolizes coolness and sensitivity, while ‘Tapt’ (heated) reflects life’s struggles, pain, and inner turmoil
Author Dr. Shweta Deepti: She expressed that the title represents the emotional expression of every woman’s heart, capturing the various phases of a woman’s feelings—sometimes calm, sometimes cool, and sometimes burning with inner heat.

A special highlight
The Society Welfare Development Foundation (SWDF) awarded two outstanding students—Vansh Sarawagi from Alok Vidyashram and Angel Bhardwaj from DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School—for scoring 97% in the Hindi board exams.
The students were honored at the ‘Himalini Hindi Samvardhan Samman 2026’ event with a cash prize of Rs. 5,100, which was shared equally between them. Prof. Abha Rani Mishra presented the awards. The financial reward was generously provided by Mrs. Sumanlata Singh (SWDF), for which Himalini’s Director Sachchidanand Mishra expressed heartfelt gratitude through a formal letter, praising the foundation’s continued efforts in education and social welfare.
