Kathmandu, April 3. U.S. President has claimed that the ongoing American military campaign against is approaching its final stage. Addressing the nation from the White House on Thursday morning, Trump said the United States is close to achieving its military objectives and that the operation could be completed in the near future.
During his address, Trump stated that the war, which began about a month ago, has severely weakened Iran’s military capabilities. According to him, Iran’s navy has been effectively destroyed, its air force has been reduced to ruins, and several of the country’s top military leaders have been killed. He also claimed that Iran’s ability to launch missile and drone attacks has been significantly curtailed.
“The United States is winning, and this victory is greater than anything we have seen before,” Trump said.
The president also referred to Operation Midnight Hammer, carried out in June 2025 targeting Iran’s nuclear program. Trump said the operation resulted in the complete destruction of several Iranian nuclear facilities. He accused Iran of being on the verge of developing nuclear weapons.
Trump criticized the nuclear deal signed during the administration of former U.S. President , calling it a “major mistake.” He added that ending the agreement was a decision he was proud of.
Speaking on regional security, Trump assured that the United States would never allow and its Gulf allies to fail. He also urged partner nations to take the lead in securing the . At the same time, he suggested that the United States may reduce its military presence in the region, noting that America no longer depends on the area for oil or security in the same way as before.
Touching on domestic political and economic issues, Trump blamed Iran for rising fuel prices. He also cited the example of , claiming that the military operation to remove President had been successful and that Venezuela is now a trading partner of the United States.
