New Delhi: 1st March,2021:(Himalini Delhi Bureau) On the inaugural day of Skoda Auto Vokswagen India 2nd One-Day National Zone Cricket Championship for Deaf, North Zone convincingly defeated South Zone by 72 runs & in parallel match East Zone won against West Zone by 5 Runs. With the help of solid batting of Virender Singh 54 runs, ShivNarayan Sharma-52 runs & Mani Gulati-40 runs, North Zone complied a mammoth total of 246/4 in 40 overs . In reply Ganda Raja Ram played a fighting knock of 60 runs but The Outstanding bowling performance by Manjeet Kumar (46/5) & Kuldeep (26/4), South Zone bundled out 174 runs(30.5 overs). In the other match East Zone could score 171 all out in 30.1 overs with the help of brilliant batting of Pranjal More 49 runs & Mayur Patel 20 runs. In reply West Zone restricted to 166 all out in 33.1 overs. Pranjal More & Anil Pintoo took 3 Wkts each. Sumit Jain-President IDCA along with Cricket Coach Dev Dutt Baghel presented cash prize of Rs.1,100 and Man of the Match Trophy to Manjeet Kumar from North Zone & Pranjal More for East Zone on Day-1. All the matches are being played in the outer Delhi at MCG 2& 3 Ghevra Cricket Ground, Kanjhawala. This National Championship remains continue till 5th March which is organized by Indian Deaf Cricket Association and hosted by Deaf Cricket Society.
