Dr. Shweta Deepti, In the Vedas, Upanishads and Gita, Shakti has been called Prakriti (Nature). Prakriti (Nature). means life we can say nature is mother, who gives us breath and sustains us. Therefore we can say that the power lies in nature . The power from which creation takes place and which also has the power of destruction.

It is mentioned in the Vedas that this universe is moving by power only. We exist in the world only on the strength of power. Shakti (Power) is the energy of the universe. In the Vedas the power of the universe is called (Nature) Prakriti. In the Gita it is called Para. Similarly power has been given a different name in each of the scriptures. Siddhis and powers are pervasive in this entire universe. There are many kinds of powers within ourselves. Knowledge power, will power, mind power and action power etc. There are infinite powers. In the Vedas it is called the power of the mind (CHID sakti), from which the universe is born. This power is within everyone. The form of mother has been made very contradictory. But beyond all mysteries, we worship Maa Durga as the accumulated corpus of energy and thus we create self-power in ourselves.
The time is for the worship of Power Shakti and also The time is to recognize the woman and her various forms. It is also the time that every woman can recognize the power inherent in her. Do not flout values and traditions under the guise of women empowerment. Create within yourself the energy of your culture and tradition, beyond meaningless debate. Make yourself worthy so that this society may be compelled to respect you. Enhance your personality and increase your self-confidence. It is also the time that the society who worships women should accept this fact in reality and give her respect and the right to be a human being in the home, society and in the country. Only then this great festival of Shakti worship will be successful.
Let us be free from mental ills. Accumulate power, worship power because power is life, power is religion, power is truth, power is everywhere and power is needed by all of us. Many many wishes of Shardiya Navratri. (From Editorial Himalini Issue oct.2021)
