
October 02, 2021. Birgunj (Nepal))To mark the 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, theConsulate General of India in Birgunj organized a panel discussion onthe topic “”Relevance of Gandhian thoughts in the contemporary world
- with special reference to the current pandemic.”” inside the chancery
premises on October 01, 2021. The panel consisted of Shri
Chandrakishore Jha, a senior Columnist and Journalist, Shri Bharat
Prasad Gupta, Chairman of Sambhawana, Raxaul, Shri Mahesh
Agrawal, State President of Seema Jagran Manch, Bihar, Shri Devendra
Mishra, Rtd. HOD (Political Science) from Thakur Ram Multiple
Campus, Birgunj and Shri Nitesh Kumar, Consul General of India. The
Officers and other members of the Consulate were in attendance during
the discussion.
The Panelists highlighted the works and deeds of Mahatma
Gandhi for the mankind and asserted that his concepts of “Sewa” and
“Swachhata” were still relevant in tackling the menace of COVID-19
pandemic throughout the world.
