On the same legacy IP University is planning for separate hostel for international students for their convenience seeing surge of their admissions in the campus and affiliated colleges, said Dr Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of IP University here today. He was speaking on the occasion of releasing separate admission brochure for international student for the academic year 2022 – 23. Dr. Verma further added that at present more than 100 international students, mainly from Nepal, Bhutan, Gulf countries & African countries, are enrolled in the campus and the affiliated colleges. Their numbers are increasing every year.
In his welcome address on the occasion, the Registrar of the University Mr Shailendra Singh Parihar said, there are so may attributes of the University that attract internation students like a plethora of academic programmes, locational advantage due to proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, 15% extra seats in various programmes for international students, etc.
H. E. Dr Goodfrey Majoni Chipare, Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe and H.E. Mr Mustapha Jawara, High Commissioner of Gambia graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.
Prof. Vijita Singh Aggarwal, Director – International Affairs of the University informed on the occasion, 15% extra seats of the sanctioned intake of the various programmes of all the University schools & specialised centres, except Univesity School of Architecture & Planning, are earmarked for international students.

The last date of submission of online & offline application form is 30th June 2022. The application form, complete in all respects, should be sent to ‘ Room No – 306, D block, Directorate of International Affairs, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector – 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi – 78(India).’ The soft copy of the application form should be forwarded on the e – mail ID international@ipu.ac.in
It is mention worthy that in admissions, first preference will be given to candidates applying through ICCR fellowship. The remaining seats will be filled through other international candidates on merit based on qualifying exams for the purpose. BAMS, BHMS & B. Sc – Yoga programmes available at affiliated institutes of the University are only for ICCR sponsored candidates.
English proficiency test scores of TOFEL or IELTS is required to apply through this route, however, applicants of Nepal and Tibet are exempted from this compulsion.
The annual fees for variuos programmes are either US $ 2,050
Or US $ 2,550. The fee is depending on a paricular course.
