New Delhi, July 18. Around 40 schools in the Indian city of Bengaluru received bomb threats via email early Friday morning, prompting authorities to go on high alert.
The threatening emails claimed that explosive materials had been placed inside black plastic bags in classrooms. Following the alert, police, bomb disposal squads, and trained sniffer dogs conducted thorough searches across the schools. However, no explosive devices were found during the investigation.
The incident caused widespread panic and concern among school authorities, students, and parents. Similar threats were recently reported in India’s capital, Delhi, and at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, raising suspicions that such threats may be aimed at creating social unrest.
Last year, similar hoax bomb threats targeted schools, hospitals, hotels, and airports, creating an atmosphere of fear in public places.
Police have launched a digital forensic investigation into the incident and have warned of strict action against those responsible.RSS
