BJP PRADESH PRESIDENT TIWARI REQUESTS ALL THE THREE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS TO MAKE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHHATH PUJA

New Delhi, 26th October.  Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari has written letter to the Mayors of all the three Municipal Corporations to ensure repair and sanitation work at the Chhath Ghats and the roads during the Chhath Puja celebrations. In this letter, he has laid stress upon the fact that sanitation and repair work of the roads leading to these Ghats and surrounding areas are completed in advance.

Shri Manoj Tiwari has said that more than 40 lakh devotees observe fast and worship their adorable Sun God in Delhi. For this purpose besides construction of Chhath Ghats in the Yamuna River, Ghats are constructed in the various water bodies and vacant lands of DDA and other departments where large numbers of devotees reach to observe Chhath Pooja. Many devotees reach the Chhath Ghat by performing Dandavat from their house to Chhath Ghat and for helping them in this sacred work of faith, all the three Municipal Corporations of Delhi have been contributing to a great extent. Hence, this year also a letter has been written to them to maintain better arrangements in this year also. He also said that he will himself take stock of the preparations being made at the Chhath Ghats after Deepawali and by offering symbolical Shramdan and encourage the officers and employees of the Municipal Corporations.

Shri Manoj Tiwari said that lakhs of Poorvanchalies unitedly wish for the prosperity of Family, Pradesh and the Nation though this festival and at administrative level also maximum efforts should be made to help the devotees. Thousands of BJP workers will also voluntarily help in this sacred work this year also so that the devotees may have no inconvenience in paying obeisance to the Sun God. The party will also install camps for night shelters and serve the devotees. Shri Tiwari has demanded the Delhi Government that they should also make arrangements in the parks and ponds and get the roads repaired so that there is no inconvenience or obstruction in observing the greatest festival of the Poorvanchalis.
