Veteran actor Dilip Kumar will always be in our memories : Premchandra Singh

Death of an Indian Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is an irreparable loss to Hindi cinema. Grand Showman Raj Kapoor and an eminent thespian Dilip Kumar of Indian Cinema hailed from the same City of Peshawar in present-day Pakistan and unfortunately both of them are no longer among us now. Very few people know that late Dilip Kumar was a fine actor and a nationalist to the core. He was also a close friend of late Atal Bihari Bajpai, former Prime Minister of India. Dilip Kumar ji did the famous ‘Lahore Yatra’ with Atal jee in the year 1997.During the Kargil war in the year-1999, Bajpai jee himself slammed the then Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif on phone for his notorious actions and also gave phone to Dilip Kumar ji sitting next to him and asked him to talk, Dilip Kumar also scolded Nawaz Sharif on that issue. This historical event is lively portrayed by the then Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Khurshid Kasturi, in his book “Neither a hawk nor a dove”.
He will always be in our memories and we will remain proud of him, my heartfelt tribute to him …
