Kathmandu, Monday, August 18, 2025 – The health condition of Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been reported as not normal.
Following his transfer from BhairaMhawa in Rupandehi to Nakkhu Prison in Lalitpur, Lamichhane underwent a medical check-up on Monday. According to RSP spokesperson Manish Jha, doctors found his health condition to be abnormal.
Doctors have noted that Lamichhane’s body appears to have suffered due to the lack of fresh air and sunlight. A team led by Dr. Jitendra Prasad Yadav at the Trauma Center has now initiated further health examinations.
It has been suspected that during his stay at Bhairahawa Prison, where he was confined indoors without proper ventilation and was exposed to extreme heat, Lamichhane’s body might have developed complications.
