- Birgunj, 2nd October . The Connsulate General of India, Birgunj organised a program to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on wednesday, October 02,2019 at Town Hall & Party Palace, Birgunj.
The program started with welcome speech from Shri Vinod Kumar Loshali-Consul,CGI,Birgunj , followed by putting on Khadi caps to dignitaries of the event and lighting of Lamp by
Chief Guest Shri Jitendra Sonal, Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Province No. 2.
Acting Consul General, Shri Ramesh Prasad Chaturvedi, presented his views on Mahatma Gandhi during his opening remarks.
Students of Gyanda Academy, had performed Gandhiji’s one of favorites Bhajan “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” during the evnt.
Students and Schools who had participated in the Khadi Fashion Show And Vegetarian Food Festival were awarded accordingly to their standings during the show held on September 21,2019 as part of celebrations of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
