Birgunj (Nepal),November01,2023, To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Consulate General of India, Birgunj (Nepal) organized a Panel Discussion on “Relevance of Sardar Patel in the Unity in today’s World” inside the Consulate premises on October 31, 2023 @ 1600 hrs.
A good number of people including Chief District Officer, Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Armed Police Force of Parsa district, President of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce & Industries, President of Green City Community Service Center, Birgunj, Chief Liaison Officer of Liaison Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Birgunj, Branch Manager of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd, Birgunj Branch, Member of Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Chiefs of Nepal Electricity and Water Supplies Office, Birgunj, Parsa, senior journalists inlucding officers and officials of Consulate General of India, Birgunj (Nepal). The panel consisted of Shri Chandrakishore Jha (Senior Columnist), Shri Ashok Kumar Baid (President, Nepal- India Cooperation Forum), Shri Dhruv Sah (Director, FM & TV Birgunj), Shri Murli Manohar Tiwari (Birgunj Bureau Chief, Himalini Hindi Magazine) & Shri Randheer Kumar Singh (President, Nepal India Friendship Association, Madhesh Pradesh).
In their remarks, the panelists asserted that the concept of unity founded by the great Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel should be adhered in daily lives by all of us, whether be it working in a office, a family or a society and should not be limited to the unity of nation. They also highlighted the great deeds of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, his dedication towards performing his duties and services to the nation and society.
In his remarks, Consul General Shri D. S. Meena mentioned about the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his immense contributions & role played in the unity of India. The panelists were welcomed by Consul General by presenting Shawls .
- Earlier, in the morning, Consul General Shri D. S. Meena had administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to all the officers and officials of the Consualte. The pledge was followed by forming of Human Chain by holding hands together. After the pledge, stories about unsung freedom fighters from Bihar were narrated for all the officers / officials of Consualte.
