Niranjan Koirala. My maid had to transfer her 8th grade daughter from a private school in Nepal to a government school on Malcha Marg Delhi. Noticing her trepidation about meeting the Principal and arguing her case, I told her that I would accompany them next time if there was any problem. After about two hours both of them came back happy. My maid was shocked how well she was received and treated by the Principal. She had never experienced anything like that before. The only document that the school asked for was the girls transfer certificate and proof of address. To hasten the process, she was asked not to wait for the actual transfer certificate but to send it to her on whattsapp! The girl could attend her new school immediately! This is a refreshing change that the Delhi government has brought to its schools, that produced better results than private schools in last year Board Exams. If the young girl does well in her studies, sky is the limit for her. These are the changes that create silent revolutions without bloodshed. I wish the various departments of our central governments ( in Nepal and India) run as efficiently as the Principal runs her government school in Malcha Marg, (From the wall of Niranjan Koirala }
