Discussion Forum Held in Nepalgunj to Commemorate BP Koirala and Pushpa Lal Shrestha

A commemorative discussion forum and interactive program was held in Nepalgunj on Saturday, marking the 43rd memorial of BP Koirala and the 48th memorial of Pushpa Lal Shrestha, two of Nepal’s most influential political figures.

The event was organized by the Shashwat Acharya Memorial Foundation, Banke-Nepalgunj, and was chaired by the Foundation’s President, Prof. Dr. Janardan Acharya. The program brought together prominent intellectuals, civil servants, writers, professors, school principals, and journalists from the region.

Distinguished speakers including scholar Sanat Kumar Regmi, Kismat Kumar Kakshapati, Dr. Hari Prasad Timilsina, Advocate Lok Bahadur Shah, and Shudhanshu Koirala, shared their insights on the simple lifestyles of BP Koirala and Pushpa Lal Shrestha, their unwavering commitment to nationalism, and their critical stance against foreign intervention in Nepal’s internal affairs.

The event took place at the meeting hall of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City and was moderated by Foundation member and legal advisor Narharinath Yogi.
