BJP expects benefit in Bengal, Internal Analysis of TMC: Left vote may shift to BJP

16 May, Himalini Team, Delhi. The BJP expects that the benefit of political change in Bengal will be towards BJP and number will increase in this election too. In a recent interview to the Hindustan Times Assam’s Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that the right thinking people (who) belong to the CPM, belong to the Congress and even the TMC … they will vote to BJP  … In a political sense, you can say that the CPM vote is being transferred to the BJP. This is a part of the story. But I believe that CPM, Congress and TMC- people who are right thinking of these three parties, they are currently voting for ‘Modi’.

The CPI (M) or the Communist Party of India (Marxist) is also aware of the ground situation. CPI (M) Politburo member Nilotpal Basu said on Wednesday that the Trinamool and the BJP are campaigning for the votes of both the leftists. But why is the Trinamool crying on this principle? Even Mamata said why the Left is going to the BJP. You should ask the Trinamool how both his leader and voter are moving in BJP. Another CPI (M) leader said that due to excessive polarization in the Bengal elections, it is due to the Trinamool versus BJP and hence we have some disadvantages.

The great philosopher, social reformer and author Ishwar Chand Vidyasagar has again become an election issue in Bengal after 119 years of his birth. The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) is trying to go to the educated Left and middle-class vote bank by placing its statue in Calcutta College to break its image. The internal report of TMC and the reaction shows that the 30% votes which went to the Left in the 2014 general elections are now being shifted to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to a large extent. This is the main challenge of the Trinamool.
