The American Liberal Order Is Collapsing, India-China-Russia Emerging as Global Powers :Maoist Conclusion

Kathmandu, August 3, 2025 (18 Shrawan, 2082) —
The CPN (Maoist Centre), has concluded that the liberal world order led by the United States is on the verge of collapse. This assessment emerged from the party’s Standing Committee meeting held at its central office in Parisdanda.

Party Vice-Chair Agni Sapkota told reporters on Sunday that the world is shifting from a unipolar to a multipolar global system, with the dominance of the U.S. waning and powers like India, China, and Russia rising to prominence. He highlighted that the economic bloc BRICS, comprising these countries, is working to introduce a new currency that could eventually replace the U.S. dollar, signaling the weakening of “dollar imperialism.”

The Maoist Centre also observed that major powers are gradually undermining the authority of the United Nations and other global institutions. In this evolving geopolitical context, the party noted that Nepal’s role on the international stage has become increasingly diminished.

To address this, the party emphasized the need for Nepal to redefine its national outlook, enhance its diplomatic competence, and actively work toward establishing a more effective and influential global presence.
