After deducting banking fees, a final amount of $97,875 (Rs 14.8 million) was officially transferred to the national relief fund.<\/div>\n<div>The formal announcement of the fund transfer was made during a virtual program held in coordination with the Embassy of Nepal in Washington, D.C.<\/div>\n<div>The Foundation highlighted that the relief campaign was made possible by the remarkable contributions of generous individuals, various active organizations, and both Nepali and non-Nepali communities in Southern California.<\/div>\n<div>In a statement, the Foundation emphasized that stepping up to help the motherland during times of disaster\u2014feeling its pain despite living abroad\u2014stands as a powerful example of the patriotism, deep human compassion, and social responsibility ingrained in the Nepali people.<\/div>\n<div>This is not the first time the Shree Pashupatinath Foundation has mobilized to help Nepal during a crisis.
