New Delhi, 15 April: On the auspicious first day of the Hindu New Year, a Herbal Garden was formally inaugurated at the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi. The dignified ceremony was graced by the presence of H.E. Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, Ambassador of Nepal to India, and the Chief Guest, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Dadhich, Chief Executive Officer, National Medicinal Plants Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.<\/p>\n

The inauguration symbolized a spiritually uplifting beginning to the New Year, reflecting prosperity, wellness and the deep-rooted cultural and traditional ties between India and Nepal. The initiative aims to promote awareness about medicinal plants, Ayurveda, and holistic healing systems that form an integral part of the heritage and traditional knowledge systems of both nations.<\/p>\n

On this significant occasion, Sanjay Vashishtha, Chairman of the Maharishi Vashishtha Gaushala Management & Research Council, extended warm greetings to Ambassador Dr. Sharma and formally submitted a proposal to organize two Global Conferences\u2014one in Delhi and the other in Kathmandu\u2014focused on the conservation and scientific management of the holy cow. The proposal seeks to strengthen Indo-Nepal cooperation in traditional livestock preservation, sustainable gaushala management and research-based best practices.<\/p>\n

Adding a cultural dimension to the ceremony, Senior Journalist and Author Prof. S.S. Dogra presented his self-composed Nepali poem to the Ambassador. The poetic rendition beautifully expressed the spirit of friendship, shared heritage and cultural harmony between the two neighboring nations and was warmly appreciated by the distinguished guests present.<\/p>\n
