\nNew Delhi, October 6: Vikara Foundation, a non-profit organization working for the upliftment of underprivileged communities, has joined hands with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to celebrate Daan Utsav 2025 \u2013 The Joy of Giving Week. The week-long campaign, running from October 2 to 8, is being held at four metro stations \u2014 Khan Market, Hauz Khas, Janakpuri West and Qutub Minar.
\nThe initiative seeks to spread the spirit of kindness and social responsibility among commuters through fun games, quizzes, awareness drives, and the distribution of flowers and postcards.A major highlight of the celebrations is the \u201cBags of Dreams\u201d campaign, which aims to collect 500 school bags for children supported by the Foundation.
\nFounder Atul Pachauri & Co-Founder Shaurya Vashist said, \u201cDaan Utsav is a reminder that small acts of giving can create big change. Even something as simple as a school bag can empower a child with confidence and dreams.\u201d
\nThe campaign has received enthusiastic participation from commuters, volunteers and supporters. Among the active members contributing to the drive are Shilpi Sharma, Bharti Garg, Aakash , Rishikesh, Garv Bisht, Vipul, Ranjeet, Priya and Vishav.
\nSince its inception in 2023, Vikara Foundation has been active in education, health, menstrual hygiene awareness, flood relief, skill-building, and community development. The organization remains committed to creating sustainable impact through quality education, women\u2019s empowerment, environmental initiatives, and livelihood opportunities for youth.
