Birgunj, Nepal \u2014 August 13, 2025: The Indian Embassy in Nepal and the Consulate General of India, Birgunj, hosted a mesmerizing Kathakali dance performance by renowned artist Kalamandalam Ramankutty and his troupe at Birgunj Town Hall, captivating a full house of art lovers.<\/p>\n
The event drew a distinguished gathering, including Madhesh Pradesh Minister for Sports and Social Welfare Shri Pramod Jaisawal, Birgunj Metropolitan Mayor Shri Rajesh Man Singh, senior officials from Parsa and Bara districts, political representatives, students, and members of the local community.<\/p>\n
Through elaborate costumes, vibrant expressions, and dynamic storytelling, the troupe brought ancient Indian mythological tales vividly to life, showcasing the depth and beauty of Kathakali, one of India\u2019s oldest classical dance forms.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Minister Jaisawal underscored the shared cultural heritage binding Nepal and India. Mayor Singh echoed these sentiments, noting how such events deepen people-to-people connections. The Consul General of India in Birgunj highlighted the centuries-old cultural, religious, and social ties between the two nations, expressing gratitude to Kalamandalam Ramankutty\u2019s team for their outstanding artistry and commending the audience\u2019s warmth and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n
