\nUnder the grant assistance of the Government of India, five High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) in the education and health sectors in Nepal were formalized through the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) today. The MoUs were signed between the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Government of Nepal, and the respective project implementing agencies.\"\"<\/p>\n

These five projects, with a total estimated cost of NRs. 390 million, include:<\/p>\n

1. Construction of Shree Jan Shakti Secondary School Building \u2013 Bateshwor-3, Bateshwor Rural Municipality, Dhanusha<\/p>\n

2. Construction of Shree Mahobani Padam Secondary School \u2013 Pokhariya Municipality, Parsa<\/p>\n

3. Construction of Shree Basuki Secondary School \u2013 Mellekh Rural Municipality, Achham<\/p>\n

4. Construction of School Building, Hostel, and Library of Benga Sah Secondary School \u2013 Prasauni Rural Municipality-2, Bara<\/p>\n

5. Construction of a 5-Bed Hospital Building \u2013 Nashon Rural Municipality-5, Manang\"\"<\/p>\n

These projects will be implemented by local government bodies in Nepal, including municipalities and rural municipalities.<\/p>\n

The development of these facilities is expected to significantly improve access to quality education and healthcare services in the respective regions.<\/p>\n

Since 2003, the Government of India has taken up a total of 579 High Impact Community Development Projects in Nepal, including the five projects announced today. Out of these, 496 projects have been completed, covering key sectors such as health, education, drinking water, connectivity, sanitation, and public utility infrastructure across all seven provinces of Nepal. The remaining projects are currently under various stages of implementation.\"\"<\/p>\n
