Written and directed by renowned playwright and theatre artist Kajal Suri, the play powerfully brings to life the story, love, and sorrow of Habba Khatoon, the celebrated poetess of Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>What made this performance truly remarkable was the fact that none of the participating actors were native Dogri speakers. Yet, they delivered their dialogues with such finesse, capturing the sweetness, rhythm, and emotional depth of the Dogri language, that the audience responded with heartfelt applause.<\/p>\n<p>The play not only brought renewed attention to the richness of Dogri language and culture, but also beautifully depicted the shared heritage of Kashmir and Jammu on stage. The character of Habba Khatoon was portrayed as a woman of free thought and poetic spirit, vividly expressing her struggles and emotions through verse.<\/p>\n<p>Main cast members included: Jaskaran Chopra, Annu Sharma, Harshit Singhal, Shubham Sharma, Sukhnandan Bindra, Geeta Sethi, Dharm Gupta, Vinayak Dwivedi, Varsha Panthi, Rashi Sethi, Neeraj Tiwari, Vaibhav Paul, Tarun Maggo, and Bhupesh.<br \/>\nMakeup: Mohammad Rashid<br \/>\nMusic Direction: Praveen Yadav<br \/>\nLighting Design: Jerry Roy<\/p>\n<p>The occasion was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including:<\/p>\n<p>Raman Kesar \u2013 Eminent broadcaster and Dogri author<\/p>\n<p>Keshav Mohan Pandey \u2013 Senior publisher<\/p>\n<p>Jeetu Singh \u2013 Astrologer<\/p>\n<p>Vinita Kambiri \u2013 Educationist and poetess<\/p>\n<p>Vikas Mangotra \u2013 Dogri writer<\/p>\n<p>Prof. S.S. Dogra \u2013 Author and media expert<\/p>\n<p>Naresh Vats \u2013 Senior TV journalist<\/p>\n<p>This performance powerfully conveyed the message that language is not limited to one\u2019s mother tongue\u2014it is a bridge that connects hearts and cultures.
