New Delhi, May 23, <\/strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing BJP workers at the party headquarters in Delhi after his party’s spectacular victory in the Lok Sabha elections.<\/p>\n Modi arrived at the BJP HQs to a rousing reception with flower petals being showered by party workers. The country’s 1.30 crore people have answered that question: We are with the country: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nI’ve said before that the country’s electorate was fighting these elections: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nWe the BJP dedicate this victory to the people: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nI congratulate the winners and hope they will fulfil the mandate with utmost dedication: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nBJP is committed to the Indian Consititution and its federal structure. And so, we promise to help state governments on the path of progress: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nI’m proud to be part of an organisation that’s so generous, dedicated and patriotic: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nOur cadre has worked selflessly for democracy: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nBJP is known for never wavering from its values and principles: PM<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe party has seen many ups and downs in these past few years, but we will never leave behind our principles and our beliefs: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nI was busy today, and so I don’t know what happened on counting day today: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThis is not Modi’s victory. This is the victory of those citizens who are yearning for a transparent government. This is a victory for hopeful youths. This is a victory of the poor. This is a victory for farmers who pour the sweat and blood into providing food: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThis is the victory of the tax-paying middle class who have never known before this if their taxes were used for the right purpose. This is a victory for transparency: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThere was a fake tag that had become a fad in the country. That tag was “secularism”: PM<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThat fake tag ended in 2014. We saw these elections that no party ever used the tag: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThis is the first time that inflation and price rise was never issue, when corruption was not an issue: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThese things were missing, and so political pandits didn’t know what yardstick to use to measure these elections: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThese elections have brought a new narrative to the fore. What is that new narrative? There will be only two castes in the country. This will be a jolt to those playing caste politics. One caste is the poor, and the other is those who will help eradicate poverty: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThis mandate is one that will surprise the world: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nLet’s promise to take the country towards progress. If we can channel the spirit of the independence movement into taking us toward progress, the country can touch great heights in 2024: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nWe must take everyone together, even our opposition: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe Constitution is supreme, and we must follow its principles as we head toward progress: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nYou didn’t know me in 2014, but you trusted me. In 2019, you know me well, and put your faith in me: PM<\/div>\n<\/div>\nYou’ve given me a bigger mandate than 2014, which shows how much you trust me. With such trust comes a great deal of responsibilities: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nI promise I won’t do anything with bad intentions. Second,\u00a0I promise the countrymen that I will do nothing for myself: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nAnd thirdly, I dedicate myself, my body and my time, to my countrymen: Modi<\/div>\n<\/div>\nModi says, “Hold me responsible, question me, criticise me.
