<\/h2>\n<\/h2>\nThe National Commission for Women (NCW) on Monday issued a notice to actor Vivek Oberoi and sought an explanation over his tweet on a meme involving former Miss World\u00a0Aishwarya Rai<\/a>, on the results of the Lok Sabha election exit polls, ANI reported.<\/p>\n NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma told the news agency, \u201cWe would like him (Vivek Oberoi) to apologise on social media and personally also to the person concerned. If he doesn\u2019t do, we will see what legal action can we take against him. We will be talking to Twitter to remove that tweet immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n The Maharashtra State Commission for Women has also taken cognizance of the tweet and has decided to send a separate notice to the actor in this regard, commission chief Vijaya Rahatkar told the news agency.<\/p>\n Oberoi had shared a\u00a0distasteful meme on Twitter<\/a>, of Rai with husband\u00a0Abhishek Bachchan<\/a>, daughter Aaradhya and actor\u00a0Salman Khan<\/a>. While attempting a joke on the much-awaited results of Lok Sabha Elections 2019, the meme featured three different images and compared Aishwarya Rai\u2019s personal life with the exit poll results.<\/p>\n A picture of Khan and Rai was tagged under \u201cOpinion poll\u201d, the one with Oberoi himself as \u201cExit poll\u201d and the final one with Abhishek and Aaradhya as \u201cResult\u201d.<\/p>\n The meme was criticised by many on social media, including Delhi Commission for Women chief\u00a0 Swati Maliwal, who hit out at the actor over his \u201csick mentality\u201d. \u201cIt is hardly hilarious. It\u2019s crass, disgusting and reveals the sick mentality of its \u2018creator\u2019 Vivek Oberoi. Evident that the man lacks everything \u2013 political as well as life skills,\u201d she tweeted.<\/p>\n
