\nThe Consulate General of India in Birgunj celebrated the 74th Republic Day of India inside the Consulate premises on January 26, 2023.<\/p>\n

\nThe celebrations began with unfurling of the Indian National Flag at 0900 hrs followed by singing of Indian National Anthem. Then, Shri Nitesh Kumar, Consul General read the Hon\u2019ble President of India\u2019s message. Thereafter, Tricolour balloons were jointly released by Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Madhesh Pradesh and Consul General. Shri Saroj Kumar Yadav, Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Madhesh Pradesh in his congratulatory remarks thanked the Government of India for great support in the developmental works in Nepal and mentioned about the everlasting cultural and traditional relations between India and Nepal.<\/p>\n

\nStudents of 11 Schools from Birgunj and Janakpur presented mesmerizing cultural performances in the Indian patriotic songs and dances. Some of the schools presented small Skit\/Drama on social issue and one performance was tribute to war martyr\u2019s .
\nAround 400 people from all sections of the society including Member of Parliaments, Member of State Assemblies, Former State Ministers, Former Member of Parliaments, Former Member of State Assemblies, Members of the local Administration, Police Superintendent of Police, Industrialists, Journalists from print and electronic Media including Radio FM, School Teachers\/ Principals, Students, officers\/ officials of the Consulate along with their family attended the Republic Day Celebration celebrations with great enthusiasm.<\/p>\n
