During such times when polity was completely in control of left- jihadi seculars, Dr Swapan Dasgupta’s pitching in with his thought process, despite being subtle, yet ostensible, shift from the well entrenched political narrative, deserves national kudos. The rise of Narendra Modi, notwithstanding his government’s obvious failures in various directions, was a blessing in disguise for the majority Hindus. Ironically, ever since independence, the narrative which was institutionalised, was relating to Hindu subservience in the polity, on account of its disparate caste based identities while Muslims were the real king whose monolithic identity for voting enmasse for a particular party or individual, which was duly lapped up. Small wonder then, even Rajiv Gandhi, in his volte face –after his commitment to Lal Krishna Advani to remain steadfast in his stand not to buckle against any fundamentalist’ pressure–unabashedly backed out, by overturning the apex court verdict on famous Shah Bano case. Unequivocally, the post – independence phase contributed to the substantial emasculation of Hindus at the cost of empowering Muslims in the polity. This was the paradoxical saga of an independent India where Hindus, despite being considerate enough to accommodate Muslims as equal stakeholders, in the wake of creation of Pakistan, were slowly, yet steadily, have been suffering the marginalisation in the polity, over the passage of decades.

<img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="3603" data-permalink="https://himalini.com/en/when-india-needs-sai-not-shashi-for-its-national-regeneration.html/img-20220512-wa0219" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/himalini.com/en/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/IMG-20220512-WA0219.jpg?fit=708%2C950&ssl=1" data-orig-size="708,950" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"0","credit":"","camera":"","caption":"","created_timestamp":"0","copyright":"","focal_length":"0","iso":"0","shutter_speed":"0","title":"","orientation":"0"}" data-image-title="J. Sai Deepak

With the dawn of independence, everything having even the remotest of Hindu tag, was strategically dismantled from the public space to make India appear truly secular, no – man’s land. Apparently, even the last vestiges of the hallmarks of Hindu domination, was gradually taken off: How the photographs of Maryada Purushottam and others were schematically removed from Indian constitution, remains the conundrum even till this date. Regrettably, the underlying motto was to convey the impression that India never belonged to Hindus, at the first place. Needless to say that the first prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, hand in glove with Communists and left- secular- jihadis perpetrated the biggest fraud upon the nation: seeking to strike off the last vestiges of Hindu pre-eminence in the polity, to make India appear more secular, was the vindication of the humungous fraud unleashed upon the trusting Hindus. Worse still, even history books were mailed; such communist blokes like Romilla Thapar and D.N.Jha and Irfan Habib were given the brief to doctor the history by fabricating lies and omitting the facts. Hindu civilisation, by virtue of such tampering, was made to look condescendingly disdainful. The marauders like Malik Kafur was depicted as the invaders who invaded temples for looting the resources surreptitiously stored there. No wonder, in order to boost the secular image of the state, Hindu civilisation was sought to be depicted in the poor light. In fact, the ulterior motive was to strangle Hindu civilisation and make India a perfect secular state which prided upon anything which was shorn of Hindu culture. Thus the strategic manoeuvre was to institutionalise a new version of secularism which loathed Hindu heritage, its symbolic pride and glorified everything which had non- Hindu trappings. Moreover, to sustain the institutionalised fraud, an intellectual environment was deliberately orchestrated which undermined Hindu heritage, its cultural underpinnings, so much so that mainstreaming of Hindu thoughts were never allowed to take a tangible shape. If anyone dared to question the institutionalised fraud, the secular dogs were set in to silence the speakers. Significantly, the environment created aided only left- liberal thinking where talking sense was construed as blasphemy, those daring to cross the Lakshman Rekha were given a boot in no time. Worse still, in order to debilitate Hindus further, the secular India sarcastically evolved a pejorative term of ‘ Hindu growth’ to demean and degrade Hindus for the nation’s economic retardation. And all this to humiliate Hindus so that they can never rise to reassert their pre- dominance in the polity and their political consciousness continues to hibernate as ever.

Decidedly, with the polity turning hostile towards Hindus, some narrative needed to be institutionalised to subjugate Hindus under some cleverly invented camouflage: thus secularism was expediently paraded to make it all-inclusive philosophy and any other vision, for instance, Hindu nationalism as exclusive one, which is antithetical to the the Indian Constitution. Little wonder then, Congress party which has ruled the nation for decades, on the pretext of cementing secularism in the polity, had fielded such defenders of secularism as Shashi Tharoor. These defenders of secular values like Shashi Tharoor, inevitably justified all omissions and commissions under the sun: Tharoor immediately rushed to J.N.U to in defence of those who raised such treasonable slogan like, ‘ Bharat tere tukre honge, Insa Allah, Insa Allah’! Whereas such traitorous acts should have been severely decried, Congress had encouraged the desecration of national sovereignty. This, to Shashi Tharoor’s nationalistic vision, was absolutely justifiable. In fact, the entire Congress Party has become obsolete and it needs total disbanding for instigating anti- national activities.

2014 was the watershed in Indian politics: Hindus, albeit for the first time discovered that the nation was getting alienated from them. Thus there was a landslide for Narendra Modi. Significantly, apart from political change, there was a new upsurge of the collective aspiration for Hindus to re-discover their dwindling voice in the polity. Hence, even intellectual space which was manned by left- liberal- seculars who distorted the truth to institutionalise their own subversive narrative, faced the daunting challenge, albeit for the first time, from the awakened bunch of nationalist intellectuals. J. Sai Deepak is the doubtless one of them, whose intellectual honesty, in terms of his candid expression of nationalism, is putting to shreds the hitherto entrenched narrative of flawed nationalism being masqueraded to keep Muslims in good humour. Deepak’s brilliant articulation of no tolerance towards the campus anti- national slogans( in his questions- answers session at IIT Kharagpur) where he emphatically harped upon showing no leniency towards anti- national statement against the right of the state to uphold the national sovereignty and integrity, tantamounts to upholding the lofty vision of ‘ India first’ as coined by the prime minister Modi. Small wonder then, the staunch articulation of nationalism by J.Sai Deepak is the new trend in the polity; in fact, it is the new awakening of the nation towards its raison d’etre and summum bonum. It is the new urge and aspiration of nationalism which is increasingly resonating with the young generation of India. The national interest can never be compromised, is the new vision of the intellectual awakening of the nation, which is increasingly being espoused by Sai Deepak and others. Hence against this evolving new scenario, the intellectual space which hitherto was captured by left liberals like Shashi Tharoor, is getting a new makeover: Nation completely rejects the orchestrated and motivated secularism to alienate Hindu mainstream thinkers from claiming their due legitimate space, for national regeneration. It also calls for renaissance in intellectual space of the nation: it is the time to welcome J.Sai Deepak and bid goodbye to men like Shashi Tharoor who have been misleading the nation for all these decades in the name of orchestrating bogus and preposterous secularism.

<img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="3603" data-permalink="https://himalini.com/en/when-india-needs-sai-not-shashi-for-its-national-regeneration.html/img-20220512-wa0219" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/himalini.com/en/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/IMG-20220512-WA0219.jpg?fit=708%2C950&ssl=1" data-orig-size="708,950" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"0","credit":"","camera":"","caption":"","created_timestamp":"0","copyright":"","focal_length":"0","iso":"0","shutter_speed":"0","title":"","orientation":"0"}" data-image-title="J.
