\nBirgunj (Nepal), March 26,2022.As part of celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Consulate General of India in Birgunj organized the fourth “Open House for Consular Grievances” in the premises of the Consulate on 26 March 2022.The purpose of the event was to redress non-routine consular grievances of aggrieved Indian nationals living in Nepal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several Indians working in Parsa and Bara districts of Nepal attended the camp and got their grievances redressed. The grievances were mainly concerned with registration. The employees from Dabur Nepal, Shiv Shakti group, Shalimar Paints, Shalimar Cements, students from National Medical College attended the Open House and raised their grievances.They were also briefed about the Pravasi Rishta Portal through which their grievances can be redressed. The link for the portal is https:\/\/pravasirishta.gov.in\/home. All Indian students as well as Overseas Indians were advised to get themselves registered online separately giving their complete details to enable CGI, Birgunj contact them in case of need, emergency and crisis situation. While demonstrating the process of registration on the Pravasi Rishta Portal, the participants were advised to select ‘Nepal’ as Country and ‘Consulate General of India, Birgunj’ as Mission.<\/p>\n
