Bystander\u2019s Apathy<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Love, they say, is elixir of life<\/strong><\/span>
\nSoft the touch is, warm the feeling<\/strong><\/span>
\nCompassion, they say, is essence of human living<\/strong><\/span>
\nSoulful it feels and warmth it spills<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I neither find love nor compassion in the vicinity, I live<\/strong><\/span>
\nI am kicked out of the house, the rent of which I don\u2019t have to give<\/strong><\/span>
\nI can barely walk with a stick, with a young child that weeps in grief<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe father had raped her without thinking of the consequences it could bring<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I use all my might to put him behind bars and out of my sight<\/strong><\/span>
\nI regret any relationship that I had with that monster who left me in fright<\/strong><\/span>
\nSorry I am for the child, who became a victim for no reason and rhyme<\/strong><\/span>
\nI hope to do everything to seal her scar, forever to become dim and light<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With bruises on her body, sorrow in her eyes, I walk her near the river<\/strong><\/span>
\nWe both wash, splash the water and feel the chill to have given us some shiver<\/strong><\/span>
\nAll senses seem alive, our desire to live, has still has some rigour<\/strong><\/span>
\nI hug my child tight, pour her with all the warmth and love, I treasure<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We both walk amidst the apathetic bystanders<\/strong><\/span>
\nOur heads held firm before all those total strangers<\/strong><\/span>
\nThose who didn\u2019t speak up, for the right, in front of others<\/strong><\/span>
\nWho judged us more under their nonsensical moral pressure<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Bystanders are nothing, but a shadow of their own existence<\/strong><\/span>
\nThey walk around with their body and dead conscience<\/strong><\/span>
\nThey live a life in shallow and possess no substance<\/strong><\/span>
\nNo right they have toshow sympathy and be our saviours<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Strong willpower is my gift from nature<\/strong><\/span>
\nSlowly I will gather the broken parts together<\/strong><\/span>
\nOne dreadful incidence cannot crush my child\u2019s dreams for ever<\/strong><\/span>
\nLife is precious, will steer my way, make it worthy to its creator<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
