Human Resources<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

“The harder I work the more I live.”Let’s wake up every morning with this thought of the day suggested by George Bernard Shaw. Kenn Robinson once said,”Human resources are like natural resources; they are often buried deep, you have to go looking for them as they are not just lying around on the surface, you’ve to create the circumstances where they show themselves.”<\/p>\n

By the term human mean the size of population of a country along with its efficiency, educational qualities, productivity, organizational abilities and farsightedness. In simple words, human resources mean human capital.It basically includes critical component of employee well being in any business, no matter how small. Its responsibilities include payroll, benefits, hiring, firing and keeping up-to-date with state and federal tax laws.<\/p>\n

Let me simplify it, employee selection, compensation, benefits leadership, motivation, surveys, evaluation and all things to do with people at work. Everything to do with people at work is within the province of HR.<\/p>\n

Now moving towards its types, its types are listed below:-<\/p>\n

  1. Compensation and benefits managers<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Training and development specialists<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Employment, recruitment, and placement specialists<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. HR information systems<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Emplyee assistance plan managers, etc.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Human resources must be considered both from the angle of assets as well liabilities connected with the attainment of economic development. For the attainment of economic development proper utilization of both natural as well as human resources is very essential.<\/p>\n

    Some of its functions are:<\/p>\n

    –Strategic management<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Workforce planning and employment<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    -HRD<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Total rewards<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Policy formation<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Employee and labour relations<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Risk management<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Proper utilization of natural endowments and the level of production of natural wealth depend very much on the extent and efficiency of human resources.<\/p>\n

    Its importances are:<\/p>\n

    –Proper utilization of resources<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Increased productivity<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Development of skills<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Increased volume of output<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Addition to productive capacity<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Raised per capita income<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Tool for economic change<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    -Improving quality of life<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    But too much population will again be eating up all the fruits of development. Thus, from the point of economic welfare, it is quite essential to study human resources in detail. It should be equally stressed that human beings are the vital instrument of production and at the same time, fruits of call economic activities are rested on the betterment of conditions of living of human beings.<\/p>\n

    Thus, in view of its importance, it is quite essential to know both in quantitative and qualitative terms, the size, rate of growth, the composition, distribution and all other demographic features of population.<\/p>\n
