
Birgunj, Nepal – 1 March 2026.The Government of India today handed over the fourth tranche of election-related assistance to the Government of Nepal in a ceremonial event held in Birgunj.
Consul General of India in Birgunj, Shri Devi Sahai Meena, formally presented the assistance to Mr. Bhola Dahal, Chief District Officer of Parsa district, during the function.
This tranche includes **30 one-ton capacity trucks** along with other essential supplies, provided in line with Nepal’s specific request for logistical support in preparation for the upcoming elections.
Expressing appreciation, Chief District Officer Mr. Bhola Dahal thanked the Government of India for the timely and much-needed assistance, which will significantly aid in the smooth conduct of election preparations.
With this delivery, the total support extended so far includes the first three tranches — comprising more than **580 vehicles** and various other materials — already handed over to Nepal.
This sustained cooperation highlights the strong multi-dimensional development partnership between India and Nepal. It also reflects the deep-rooted friendship, mutual trust, and close people-to-people ties that continue to bind the two neighbouring countries.
